Congratulations to Joyce Fee! At the Eastern Canada Region (ECR) Fall meeting, on October 24th, Joyce Fee was selected aa the region 2024 Dream Maker Award Winner.

Joining Soroptimist in 1977, Joyce Fee has been a member of SI Peterborough for 47 years. From 1992-1994 Joyce was the Club President. She has held all positions on the SI Peterborough Board except the Treasurer and has participated on many SIP committees. Joyce was awarded the club Soroptimist of the Year in 2005. Joyce has been recognized in our community as a distinguished volunteer. Her volunteer activities include the following:

* Board member for Community Care

* Board member – Retired Women Teachers (local and provincial boards)

* Member of the City Disability Committee

* Volunteer at Showplace Peterborough, Fairhaven Home, Meals on Wheels etc.

In 1993 she received the YWCA Women of Distinction Award. In 2000 she was nominated by Community Living and became a member of the Order of Ontario.

From 1996-1998 Joyce was a member of the Eastern Canada Region (ECR) Board. Joyce also served as the ECR Membership Chair. Joyce was the Canadian member on Soroptimist International of the Americas (SIA) Board based in Philadelphia PA. In addition, she attended SIA Conventions in Canada, USA, Taiwan and Japan and, attended Soroptimist International (SI) Conventions in Nottingham, Helsinki, Sydney, Glasgow and Montreal. Joyce continues to be an active member in our club. Most recently, she chaired the SIP 75^th and SI 100^th year anniversary Committee. She actively fundraises for the club by organizing the gift card program 11 months of the year.  Contributions to SIP have totalled $7,972.62 over the past 4 years. Joyce attends SIP business meetings on a regular basis.
